Smokers’ lounge with a view of the apron at gate C

At Düsseldorf airport there is now a smokers’ lounge. The attractive and beautifully designed room measuring approx 50 m2 has all round windows providing a view of the airport apron. The lounge is situated in the security area at gate C behind the Caravelle restaurant and its modern design is complemented by stylish lounge furniture and bar boards. A state of the art ventilation system provides the smokers’ room with a constant supply of fresh air, at the same time preventing smoke from penetrating into the airport area.

The lounge is provided by cigarette brand Winston and managed by Japan Tobacco International (JTI), a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Inc., the third biggest tobacco company in the world. With 37 lounges, 134 smoking cabins and 59 smoking areas, JTI is the world leader in the provision of innovative smoking solutions at airports.

We continue to request that, in the public area of the airport, visitors and passengers make use of the smoking facilities outside the terminal building.
