A new supermarket has just been added to the wide range of food and shopping outlets at Düsseldorf airport. The new REWE City Markt is now offering fresh foodstuffs and everyday articles from, for example, fruit and vegetables, fresh pastries, fruits juices, sausage, cheese, wine and delicatessen items to cosmetics and pet food.
The shop measures 660m2 and is situated in the public area on the terminals arrivals floor. No flight ticket is needed and it is open all visitors to the airport – with opening hours from 5 am till midnight.
The emphasis is on fresh produce and convenience goods. In addition to both conventional and organic fruit and vegetables, there are numerous ready-made salads, chopped fruit and takeaway snacks. Breakfast foods, delicatessen items from Italy, Greece and Turkey and a large selection of chilled drinks from dark beer to Moselle wine are also available.
The service counter offers cheese and sausage as well as freshly prepared baguettes and warm meat snacks such as chicken or rissoles. Pre-packed fresh meat, tinned goods, washing and hygiene products and a range of cosmetics complete the provision.
REWE City Markt’s prices are in line those of other conventional outlets.
